The gall bladder is a small sac or bag, tucked under the liver. It is connected to the liver by the bile ducts.

The gall bladder receives bile from the liver through the bile ducts. It stores and concentrates the bile. The gall bladder releases the bile to assist in digestion of fat after a fatty meal.
